  • An on-site clinically trained mental health professional with expertise in the Education environment
  • An on-site Family Support Worker at the Academy 3 days a week, running parenting support and student support groups
  • A fantastic Family Engagement Centre on site where different agencies, staff, and community groups can meet in a friendly and safe space

IQM Award

From 2022 onwards, Dixons Cottingley Academy has held a 'Centre of Excellence' Award from the Inclusion Quality Mark organisation. This is the second highest award given by the IQM.

We are one of 200 schools in the UK to have achieved this award, given to schools who

'demonstrate a commitment to outstanding levels of inclusive best practice'.

This is reviewed annually, so we are pleased to have been awarded it in 2022, 2023, and now 2024.

The Inclusion Quality Principles are:

Promotes access and diversity

Raises achievement for all

Creates an environment for all to succeed

Improves the inclusive nature of all schools
